Mesmo sendo pobre ela consegue por sua beleza e caracter despertar o amor naquele que é o mais rico da região, contrariando todas as regras sociais da época. E´ melhor ler este livro na versão original inglesa para aproveitar toda a linguagem magnifica empregada pela autora.

This is one of the most beautiful stories written by Helen Ashfield. I think it should be read by several readers! This romance shows tenderness, love to each other, respect and admiration that a daughter should have for her parents! Sapphira, soon called Sapphire, as a great birthday gift given by her mother, teaches reading and writing to the poor children of the mines. Even being a poor girl, she got the richest guy´s eyes on her and both of them were trapped by that strong feeling. All of this happens due to her beauty and moral strenght which he fell in love with. In the country, that insolit event put all society against her. You had better read this book in original English language in order to get the best from author.
